Fish Are Fantastic for Eyes!

Fish are fantastic for sight;
they are tasty and packed with the fatty acids our eyes need for health. The
healthiest eye foods fish include wild Alaskan salmon, rainbow trout,
sardines, mackerel, and light tuna.
Fish contain the healthy
omega-3 fatty acids DHA (Docosahexaenoic acid) and EPA (Eicosapentaenoic acid).
DHA and EPA are important for our eyes, as well as our brain, heart, and skin.
Eating fish gives our
bodies more DHA and EPA than any other foods. So it’s important to eat cold
water fish twice a week. We can also eat other foods to get even more DHA in
our bodies. Other foods, such as eggs and yogurt, are enriched with omega-3
fatty acids.
So eating fish,
especially cold water fish, can contribute to our eye health!
